We can only print in CMYK colour mode, so that means all the colours in the print file must be created or converted to CMYK colour mode. No RGB colour can be used in the file.
You can check and convert the colours to CMYK in the following way:
Main menu > File > Document Color Mode > CMYK Color
RGB – Not good CMYK – Good (NEED IMAGES FOR THIS)
Special colours like Pantone must also be converted to CMYK.
100% Black colour has to be submitted as K100 colour and not as rich black.
CHECKLIST
Here is a final checklist before you export your print file:
1. Have you used the correct template?
2. Is your layout in the “Artwork” layer?
3. Layer names and order haven’t been modified?
4. Are correct layers “visible”?
• Info OFF
• Guidelines OFF
• Marks ON
• Metallic/Transparent Elements ON for metallic or transparent pouches, OFF for all other materials
• Photocell ON
• Artwork ON
5. Are all colours in CMYK?
6. Are images set to 300dpi resolution?
7. Are all images and graphic elements linked and embedded?
8. Are all fonts outlined?
